This break has gone by SO fast!

I can't believe I'm going back to the Beeg area on Saturday!

I've been kinda sick for the last week & it's been pretty boring since I haven't been able to do much :/

oh well.

Hopefully I can kick this cold before classes start on *shutters*… Monday…

Da Ba De Da Ba Dah

So it's Jan. 2nd of 2013!

These days are just flying by!

It seems like yesterday I was like, 2…

But really, life moves pretty fast.

(That was my nice little tribute to Ferris :P)

I have so many things to do already it seems like.

I am excited to go back to school though!

This semester has definite potential to be great!

I wanted to get a co-op…

But when people don't get back to you when they say they will, it makes things a lot more difficult.

What can ya do?

I'm excited for some of my classes though!

They're all the rest of my gen-eds that I needed to get done, so yay!

It might stink that I'm getting all the rest of my easy classes out of the way & won't have any blow off classes for my senior year or something, but whatevs!

I just mapped out a general game plan for the next two and half years! :P

I think one of my resolutions this year is going to be to write more often on here.

I've Been To The Year 2013...

HAPPY NEW YEARZ!

2-0-1-3

We've all come so far!

We survived what was supposed to be the "Apocalypse"…

This past year has been one for the record books.

- I began my second semester of college

- I met & started dating Austin

- I went on my first college spring break

(which was also my first trip to Myrtle Beach)

- I drove across the country with my family

- I went to the Mall of America

- I saw Mount Rushmore 

- I saw the Katy Perry movie twice in theaters

- I moved in with coolest people EVER! <3 i="i">

- I became the secretary for a student organization

- I made & dressed up like KP for Halloween!

- Spending time with Austin & his fam :)

- I became obsessed with One Tree Hill

- I lost someone very special, my Baba <3 i="i">

- I made SO many new friends at school :)

- I still continue to have the greatest family & friends of all time <3 :=":" i="i">

& I mean, I could go ON AND ON…

But I won't :P

Thank you to everyone who made this year amazing <3 i="i">

I love you all :)

I mean, considering people think the world is ending on Dec. 21, 2012.

And it's Dec. 20th…

But really…

Why would listen to this?

The Mayans were probably bored of continuing on their calendar for so long… Especially since they knew they wouldn't be alive by this point…

Also, the other parts of the world are already experiencing 12/21/12…

& they are all still very much a part of this world…

There are people going crazy & draining their life savings and just blowing all their money…

Why?

Seriously… Stop that!

I mean, I guess we won't know until tomorrow if I'm wrong or not…

But, by then it won't matter…

I'm not wrong, by the way…

I'm sure you've seen "selfies" overtake your social media sites lately…

What is a selfie?

WELL…

Selfie - a picture someone takes of themselves, alone… and posts them on a social media site like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. In the picture, the person is usually trying extra hard to look good, or looking ridiculous while making silly faces.

It's becoming a problem.

WHY HAS SOCIAL MEDIA BEEN ATTACKED BY THE SELFIES?!

I think SnapChat is playing a big part in the "selfie" outbreak…

Why not send someone an ugly face that they can only see for a few seconds before it's erased?

Too bad there's screen-shotting abilities now though kiddos!

So watch what you're sending! :P

Here are some classic things to look for when identifying a selfie!

The classic "Peace sign/wink/tongue-sticking-out" combo

The "kissy" face (YIKES!)

The "Gazing off into the distance" face..
That's usually accompanied by lyrics or something else cheesy like,
"You're always on my mind"
(barf).. Sorry…

Teenage Dream...

This is my last post ever as a teenager.

YIKES!

I'm excited to be more of an adult.

A societally recognized adult.

When you're 18, yes, you're an "adult," but…

You're still looked down upon.. greatly.

People still classify you as a "reckless teenager," or whatever else they call us.

Well, almost no more ridicule for me.

I was talking to my mother the other day about how teens are scrutinized and stereotyped.

My brother stopped at a gas station to get some gum before his homecoming dance and the man behind the counter made a common to him saying how the gum wouldn't cover up alcohol.

Okay, okay… He's SEVENTEEN.

No need for those comments.

They breathalyze to get into the dances anyway, so you'd have to be stupid to drink beforehand anyways.

Another example

Would be when students go to the health clinic here on campus… Not every problem is related to alcohol. Seriously. I'm just sick… Diagnose me and make me better.

But there was my little rant.

I'm excited to be 20.
