Bury...

Those Blue Devils!
Tomorrow is my last high school football game :'(
We're playing our rivals, Tallmadge!

>

Bulldogs are greater than the Blue Devils!

Until about 20 minutes ago, I wasn't going to be able to go to the game.
I had plans to go see the show, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, with my family; however, when my mom realized it was the last game, she told me I could go see the show Sunday instead! So, it's a win-win situation :)

Earlier, my friends and I went shopping to get supplies & such for our costumes for the senior Halloween dance on Saturday.
We're being a chain gang or something of that sort.
So, basically prisoners. Haha. It'll be neat :)

After that, we went to a community pep rally that's supposed to raise awareness for Issue 5, which is our school's levy.
Apparently we'll have next to nothing if it doesn't pass.
I hope it does though. I mean, I don't want to see our excellent school district rapidly decline.

Tomorrow is "Mum Day" at school.
We're wearing all black and 'mourning the Blue Devils'... which I believe is supposed to be similar to a funeral?
Hahaha. I'm not exactly sure how we're gonna stay quiet all day, but we'll see how it goes :P

Anyway, I'm so tired & I have a test in Musical Theater to study for.
I hope you all have an excellent evening & and a fabb Friday! :)
Have a splendiferous night :)

More Migraines...

So, after spending a total of seven hours on a duct tape outfit for today...
I got really dizzy & couldn't stand up anymore.
I had to miss most of school today and so I didn't even get to wear my outfit.

But imitate a teacher day went swimmingly :)

Daniel as Elaine & myself as Felice :) Haha

Today was the first sing-through with the orchestra for Musical Theater's Wizard of Oz.
It went pretty well too! We didn't really have any problems & we got out early!

Tomorrow is "Orangeout" where we wear all orange....
Hopefully people participate.

We're ready to bury those Blue Devils!

I've still got a little bit of a headache, so I can't really think of much else to say on here.
I hope you all had a wonderful Wednesday & have a stellar evening :)
... and a swell day tomorrow as well :)

Whipped into Shape...

The blog has a new design folks!
I figured it was time for a little change :)

Today was a pretty average day, I'd say.

Besides the fact that it was "Ugly shirt/tie" Day at school, which was stellar.

Yeah, this week should be interesting :P
Tomorrow is "Impersonate a teacher/twin" day :P

-------------------------------------------------------

I realize this is a little bit late, but I thought it was appropriate:
It's a video of the seniors going out by the field to sing the alma matter.
It was from our homecoming game.
This Friday is our last game... and I'm actually really sad that I can't go :/
Green High School, I'm glad you improved this year.
I can't get enough & I've never loved school more :)
The past two years, you declined more than I would have thought possible, but somehow (even though we all know why), you were able to pick back up where you left off & raise the bar even more :)
Fab job :)

In a city of Ohio
Stands our high school dear
Midst the homes of friends and neighbors
Our lives center here
So, we praise thy name
Oh, Green High
Keep your standards high
Lift your voices loud and loyal
To the very sky
:)

Anyway, I think it's gonna be kinda sad to leave, but I've got the rest of the year to look forward to :)
Musical Theater is going to starting soon... well, it starting when school started since it's a class, but the show opens Nov. 18th.. Are we ready? Well, no, but I mean, it's just around the corner :P

I hope you all have a fantastic day tomorrow & a good rest-of-the-night :)

So Dedicated...

My, my.. how I've been slacking...
Haha... well! Friday my Green Bulldogs destroyed the Revere Minutemen <--- Take that! We beat them 43-0!
At the end of the game, all the seniors (and probably a bunch of other grades) rushed the field and everyone all got together and sang the alma matter for our last home football game ever. It was pretty bitter sweet.
After that, I went home and since I had the house to myself, watched Ice Castles under a blanket with a bowl of popcorn :)
That's what I call a stellar evening :P
It kind of made my awful day better.... Because I do recall blogging exactly two weeks ago from this day & mentioning how I was involved in a "hit & run"...
Yeah, well, this time... I was hit worse... and in the school parking lot again no doubt.
Seriously, five-month-old car... GHS parking lot, this is getting old.
All three car accidents I've been involved in were not my fault, happened in the school parking lot, and involved boys. That just really proves what awful drivers boys are. It's not even just me saying that. It's a proven fact. Their insurance is higher.

Yesterday, I had to wake up super early to go into school & work on Journalism stuff.
Then: I went Halloween costume shopping with Tierney.. where she settled on a flapper girl & I settled on spider girl :) Haha.
I went to two halloween parties too :) It was a pretty stellar night :)

I had to wake up really early this morning & go into the school again to finish up the paper.
We seriously proof that thing until there's no way there could be a mistake...
But, if there is, my apologies. It's the first paper of the year :P Next issue will be ten times better, I promise :)

After that, I basically came home & slept until I had to go to my grandparents & eat dinner.
While there, we totally watched the Ghost Hunter's thing on the Mansfield Reformatory :P
I knew there were reasons why I was scared to be in there :P

* I would just like to give a shout-out to my faithful reader & one of my fave people ever, Rachael :) Thanks for reading :)

Anyways, tomorrow is Monday... it's spirit week again! It's ugly shirt/tie day. I'm borrowing a really ugly Halloween sweater that my mom used to wear :P Hahaha

Sorry for being lame and not blogging all weekend... It was hectic, as you can tell! Haha.
Hopefully you all have a stellar week ahead of you :)

Sorry About This...

I don't have a whole bunch 'a time to kill blogging tonight...
Because I've really gotta get a move on this issue paper for Gov class & it's due tomorrow...
And I also really need an A on this paper, because I have a 92.04 in there right now, and I need a 92.5 to squeak by with an A :)
I have faith in myself... And so do other people :)...So it might be okay :)

I'm going to write about the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy :P
So, off I go to write a paper :P
Have a good evening er'one :)

Senioritis...

I don't even have enough work to do right now that can cause senioritis though...
Not that I'm complaining :)

Things have been going pretty swimmingly actually.
I haven't homework all week... greatness :)

The first nine weeks of my senior year are almost over too!
Which means, 1/4 down... & then... 75% of a year left until I graduate! :O

I kind of can't believe time's gone by so fast...

My grades are amazing, I've got all A's... except one.. which is so close, so I'm confident in my abilities to raise it.
Ah... Things are seriously going very well right now.
It almost seems too good to be true, so let's knock on wood that things stay this way :)

I hope all is well with the rest of you :)

I'm All Alone...

I'm not actually alone, obviously.
I just sometimes feel as though no one else on earth is anywhere near the same page as me.
Individuality is important though, right?
I suppose it is, but it's always nice to have people to talk about things with.
I'm glad that there's always someone who understands.
I've been fortunate.

That's enough of my random deep thoughts :)

I'm listening to the Last 5 Years right now.
Which is what sparked the "I'm All Alone" title.

Nobody ever knows about any of the music I'm listening to because it's all "showtuney"....
Which I don't mind, but it makes for a "story basket" tale when I go around all excited trying to show people that Alice Ripley signed my hand... Just to have everyone ask, "Who's Al-ice? or Alex?.. Ripley was it?"
Then I have to tell everyone her life story.
Fun.

Oh well!

Today was a decent day.
I had to work in the scene shop during Musical Theatre class.
I don't know why he thought it was a good idea to have a weak female move a 6-foot pile of wood and such.
I had the help of Cody & James... there was no way I was getting any of that done on my own! Haha

This is the stuff after it was untangled & carried out of a small room...

Anywho, I'm super tired already and I'm going to take advantage of the fact that I'm done with homework early and get to sleep early.
I hope you all had an excellent day & that you have an even better one tomorrow :)

I Wanna See N2N, So Freakin Bad...

*Words inspired to me by the Billionaire Parody by Chelsea Roden :) <3

I got to meet Alice Ripley tonight!

So, she's kind of really amazing.
She's pretty inspiring too.

And she totally signed my hand! :)

My friend Chelsea & her mom took me to Kent State University to see Alice, a KSU alum, speak and sing :)
It was so totally awesome.
She talked about all the different shows she's been in, and even about what she thinks is going wrong with the theatre world today.
She's pretty good at pretending to die too...
We got a pretty detailed act of it :P

It was an amazing experience and I'm glad I had such an amazing opportunity to go!
I also ran into a couple Kent friends, Corey, Brandon & of course Stevie, my wonder <3

I wonder how long this signature will last on my hand... Haha

Boo! I'm Gonna Scare You...

I just survived the Mansfield Reformatory!
Apparently it's the 5th most haunted place or something.
It was very scary!

I was really hoping to be able to play "sick" and not have to go...
But nevertheless, I'm so glad I went.

I went with my friends, the Fork Five...
We established ourselves last night.. around a bonfire.. while melting forks.
It was a pretty swell time if you ask me.

Today, Chris couldn't go with us (Because he had too much homework)
So, it was Scotty, myself, Liz, and DB :)
Yes, it was Scotty's idea.. and yes I did almost rip his arm out of the socket from being so scared.

So, long story short, I'm very glad I went.
I also learned that I'm more afraid of people running at you with chainsaws than of clowns.

Do you know the answer to that questions about yourself? Didn't think so.

It was fun :)
Ah, Halloween... such a scary time of year :O

Highway Run into the Midnight Sun...

Wheels go round and round...
You're on my mind.

...I'm listening to Glee's Journey to Regionals soundtrack :)
The "Journey" referencing the fact that they sang a selection of the band's songs :)
I really like Glee... It's bringing attention to the arts & the art and joy that singing brings to everyone.

L0VE <3

Today was a little bit stressful...
I had to go into school & work on a bunch of stuff for Journalism.
I can't wait until we finish pumping out this first issue.
The first issue is always the most difficult.
I have faith in our talented bunch of kids to print some awesome material this year!

After Journalism shenanigans, I went out to lunch with my great grandma, grandma & some cousins. We had a very nice time at Olive Garden :) Haha

After that, I came home & watched Get Him to the Greek :)
That movie.. so funny!
Sometimes I feel like a terrible person when I find movies like that to be so funny.. Haha

Tomorrow I'm going to visit Bowling Green with my family & friend Katie.
I'm obviously excited... because I'm almost positive that's where I'm going to go to school.
When I went there to see it for the first time, I fell in love.
I could completely imagine myself there & knew that was the school I wanted to go to!
So, we'll see how things work out :)

Anywho, it's very late, and I have to leave my house by 5:30ishh to get there on time!
I'll hopefully have good news to blog about tomorrow :)

Migraines...

They're causing me to slack on writing my blogs.
So, sorry for that.

I had a pretty bad one today.
But I went to my friend's soccer game today with some frans.. it was a fun time :)

It's only gonna be Wednesday... Will this week ever end?
Most likely... not... Haha

I'm so exhausted I don't even know where to begin.
I've been spending any and all of my free time working on stuff for Journalism.
I really want this paper to be the best it's ever been!

I know it's possible :)

Tomorrow is Wednesday... I don't think anything too exciting is happening...
I have to go to the elementary school to help with the kiddos playing munchkins in Wizard of Oz! :)
So, hopefully all that goes well :)

Secretly, I'm listening to Christmas music right now.
I mean, judge me if you want.. but sometimes.. especially since it was so cold today... you just can't help it :) It's so good! :D

When it gets closer to the Christmas season, there'll be plenty more about the holiday, I'm sure :)

I hope you all have an excellent night :)

Laddle Laddle Laddle Hep Hep Hep...

Today was a pretty decent day.
I was kinda ridiculously tired though!
I think I might have fallen asleep in Gov...
I hope I didn't though... I need all the points in there I can get!
I'm so close to an A!

This is only a four-day week for me!
I can't wait until Thursday!
I'm celebrating my birthday with a few of my friends & we're gonna watch a bunch of Tim Burton movies :)
It should be a fun time :P Haha

Anyway, I've got a bunch of journalism stuff to do tonight still...
& even a little Gov homework.

I love school this year! I have all A's almost!... minus Government which only a couple points away! :)
This year is going swell, oh, so swell :)

Just Live For The Moment & Dance Your Life Away...

Last night was Senior Homecoming :)
The last one ever...

As we go on, we remember
All the times we had together.
And as our lives change, from whatever
We will still be...

Friends Forever <3

Keep smilin', keep shinin'
Knowin' you can always count on me, for sure
That's what friends are for.
For good times, and bad times
I'll be on your side forever more...

That's what friends are for <3

So, featherweight freshmen, hold on
It's only four years long, then it's gone
And the queen on the nerds, and the king of the prom get a job.
Look at them now.
She's living her dreams, while he sleeps with his crown.
So be cool, be hard, be weird.
It's just...

Four years... <3
--------------------------------------

My birthday weekend was stellar.
I had a great time :)

Things are lookin' up more & more every day!
I mean, even though I keep having to go through "lasts" of everything...
It's starting to get a little sad.. :'/

Don't worry.. I mean, we've all gotta tough this stuff out.
Like I said before... this blog is here to take me through senior year & help me document the "haps" :)

It's normal to be feeling a little sad!

All in all, this year... it's been good :) Haha

Adulthood...

Happy 18th Birthday to me! :)

Today was a super stellar day...
Aside from the fact that I was rear ended on the way to school this morning...
& My car is only FOUR months old...
AND! The people "hit & ran"... Ha,

So, kudos to you for getting away... eff you...

Tomorrow is my very last high school homecoming! :O
But I know it'll be super duper stellar :)

Thursday, October 7, 2010

Oh, boy!... :)

Oh, man...
So, tomorrow is my eighteenth birthday.
I'm so totally pumped!

I attended my last high school homecoming pep rally tonight. It was a little bitter sweet if you ask me.
My friends and I all got a group pic together after :)
I love them all so much! <3

Oh, if you wanna know something funny...
I've been in my room since I got home & just a couple minutes ago I tried to walk downstairs and my father basically picked me up and brought me back upstairs :P
So, I'm not allowed down there & I don't know why.
I have a feeling there's a birthday surprise going on down there... ;) Haha.

With less than an hour left of my youth, I would like to reflect a bit.
I've had an excellent life. My childhood couldn't have been better and I have the best family in the world.
Although sometimes maybe I didn't see it then, I know now how fortunate I've been.
I don't know where I would be today without having strong parents to keep me grounded and level-headed.
*Notice, "grounded" as in, basically level-headed.. not being "grounded" as in a punishment.
I've never actually been grounded before... Haha.
Is that weird? I don't think so.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I love my life & I wouldn't go back and change anything, because I wouldn't want anything to be different than from the way things are right now :)

Thank you everyone in my life :)
I love you all! :)

DANG IT...

Ya know... I can't believe I missed blogging yesterday! :'(

So for that, I'm sorry.. :P Haha

Anyways, today was 80s day! It was pretty cool!
I wish I would have known that I could have broken some of the dress code rules.. Haha.

My friend Amy's 18th birthday is tomorrow!
I'm gonna sing to her... ferrsure :)

I helped out my directors of Musical Theater today with the younger kids today. Our show this year is the Wizard of Oz and we have 53 little "munchkins" running around!
They're all so preshh! & I love watching them all sing & dance :) Haha

I'll be helping out a lot with that :)

Anyways, I've got a Gov test tomorrow... So this is all you get for today :)
I hope you all have a stellar evening!

"Haha" as opposed to "Lol"...

I think people have forgotten what "lol" means...
Who actually is "Laughing out Loud" when they type that?

Using "Haha" just makes so much more sense.
It could potentially be an actual laugh OR just expressing that you found what someone you're conversing with said was funny.

Oh well.

Haha :)

Today, just in case any of you "Journalism" kids are reading this, you had best join my "GHS Paw Print" group on Facebook that I made.
Its purpose is to keep us all connected.
Due to the fact that we have two classes this year, many things aren't able to be discussed together as a whole.
I also included all the due dates and a time line for the first issue.
* In addition to the complete section list

Farmer day was a success :P
Although some people thought "farmer" and "cow(boy/girl)" were the same things... Haha.

Tomorrow is leaf day...
I'm interested in seeing how this turns out :)

I'm so tired... BUT! I have successfully written something for the fifth day in a row & the fourth day in October :)

Thanks for reading all my faithful followers :)

If You Fall, In The Fall You'll See...

For someone to say that Ohio has terrible weather, if you think about it, it's one of the few places you can clearly go and experience all the different seasons :)

Here in the northeast Ohio, I really do think it's one of the best places to live.

There are hardly any natural disasters for us to worry about... I mean, c'mon!

No matter what though, I guess you can't change the fact that some people just hate the cold & they can't handle it.

On a different note:
This week is spirit week at school in honor of Homecoming on Saturday.

Monday: Farmer Day
Tuesday: Leaf Day
Wednesday: '80s Day
Thursday: Jersey Day
Friday: Orange & Black (Spirit) Day

It should be a fun time :P

I love October...
